This family was seriously up for anything. They asked me to come to their “house in progress” and shoot some family pictures with the timber frame. I assumed that we would be shooting some photographs like this -
I love that photo, but I quickly learned that Dad Weed had some more daring shots in mind…
Kudos to Carrie for being willing to get up there like that…
Now, normally, I absolutely don’t allow anyone to do anything dangerous while we’re shooting, but the Weeds are friends, and this is their house and I’m pretty confident that they weren’t going to sue me if someone fell. 
I’m so glad they called me out to do these once-in-a-lifetime photographs!

It was a sweltering hot morning in downtown Louisville for Matt’s senior picture session. He braved it as well as anyone, though!

Recently, I was browsing back through the photos on my iphone. I realized that apparently, I really like to take pictures of bridges. Maybe it’s something about all the leading lines and geometric shapes that makes for a good photo, or maybe it’s the historic architecture. I’m not sure, but I know that I can’t help but grab for my iphone when there is a bridge up ahead.
The first few were taken in WV, I think…
This one is in Charleston, WV…
This is the bridge that crosses over the Ohio River from WV into Marietta, Oh…
The next two are the 2nd st bridge in Louisville,
and my personal favorite…the I-64 bridge into Indiana…Scott drives it everyday to work, lucky bum…
